Are these cool cartoon clip art images really free?
It sounds almost to good to be true. But the fact is the GIF images on this website that you can see are free for you to use on non-commercial blogs and websites. I’ve had a handful of surfers question how the cli art pictures are free if they have to purchase the vector art versions of an image.

The answer to that is simple. The website is not called free vector clip art pics and originally did not even include the option to buy vector art. I created this website to showcase my talent at drawing cartoons and to offer cute little designs for use on websites around the Internet. I ask that each image used have a link back from the website where it appears. I hoped that this would help spawn more work for my cartooning company.

Some cartoonists might wonder why I’m offering perfectly good artwork for free when other websites are selling images. The answer to that question is that I discovered Google AdSense early on in my entrepreneurial career and knew that large amounts of traffic brings large amounts of AdSense income.

My little images on this site are perfect for computer screens and come in 72 dpi GIF files. They do not have enough quality for printing purposes so my designs cannot really be used for commercial purposes. After only a few months of having AdSense on the website it quickly became my best income producing website. This income has been a big part of my business for 8 years. That is the reason I give away free clip art.

The next phase of FreeClipArtPics.com was to offer each image as a vector art file. I began this venture because I knew it could be another avenue for making an income. I draw cartoons for income not for the sole love of drawing. Rather than creating an entire new website for the vector drawings I began adding PayPal buttons on the website for those interested in high quality printing and commercial projects.

That should explain why these clip art pics are free and why there is also an option to buy higher resolution files. I continue to add new and much better looking art every year and hope that this website can one day turn into a full fledged clip art company. There are currently hundreds of images on the site and I have hundreds more that need to be digitized and added.

Do you remember those great old Saturday morning cartoons like I do?
As a kid I can remember how fun it was to hop out of bed on Saturday morning just to sit in front of the TV. There was always a great line up of cartoons including Johnny Quest, Fat Albert, Super Friends, Bugs Bunny and more!

You could always count on hearing “Yabba-Dabba-Dooo!” or “Scooby Doo, Where Are You?” These great retro cartoons bring back memories for thousands of adults. Saturday mornings were so special due to the fact that for most kids, it was the only time during the entire week that cartoons were even on!

Now a days with the creation of The Cartoon Network, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon kids can find cartoons on 24 hours a day. I think this has spoiled what made Saturday morning cartoons so special.

Saturday Morning Cartoon Design
In honor of these great old cartoons and because many people like to post about them on their blogs I have created a piece of clip art. This fun Saturday morning cartoon clip art contains the phrase in a fun, cartoon style lettering in bright colors. The font is Spumoni LP Std. I typed the font and then used the Warp tool under Effects to slightly curve them.

After creating the font I placed it over an oval and also created a retro television. I added the TV to the top and as a last addition stuck some googly eyes at the bottom. This wacky design can be used on your personal blog or website and would go perfectly with a story on retro cartoons and Saturday morning memories.

This clip art design is a transparent GIF file and is available by right clicking and downloading to your desktop. If you would like to use this graphic on a commercial project or need a quality file for printing you can purchase the vector art version.
